Glazing Options Tab

tip

Some of the options here can also be covered in framing system components.

To avoid doubling part counts, it's important to set these options either here or in the components tab.

The Glazing Options tab lets you automatically assign alternates based on the glass thickness which can be helpful for systems with glass thickness adapters or gaskets.

This is also where you can set more advanced gasket options, like allowances or gaskets that run the full length of a vertical.

  • Options - Set rules to generate part options according to glass thickness.

    • Thickness - The glass thickness where these parts are set.

    info

If a glass thickness isn't set by the Glass Product or you don't assign glass products to your elevations, the glass thickness specified in the frame system's Settings tab will be used as a default.

    • Ext. Gasket / Seal / Int. Gasket / Seal - Type in or paste a part number for exterior and interior gaskets / seals.

    • Ext. Adaptor / Int. Adaptor - Type in or paste a part number for exterior and interior adaptors.

    • Adaptor Screw - Type in or paste a part number for adaptor screws.

    • Spacing - On-center spacing between adapter screws.

    • Edge Dist. - Distance from adapter edge to the first screw.

    • Setting Block - Type in or paste a part number for setting block.

    • Setting Chair - Type in or paste a part number for setting chair.

    • Option Label - For your reference only.

  • SSG Options - Set rules to generate parts according to glass thickness at SSG verticals/horizontals, specifically.

    • SSG Options are the same as the typical Options above excluding the exterior gasket and adaptor.

Gasket & Adaptor Fabrication

  • Horizontal Gasket / Vertical Gasket - Offset for vertical and horizontal gasket.

    • Gaskets are measured based on the DLO. Depending on the system, you may want to have the horizontal gasket run passed the vertical, or vice versa. You can add the extra length here to fill the corner.
  • Gasket Allowance - For each foot of gasket, add this length in to the count.

  • Horizontal Adaptors / Vertical Adaptors - Offset for vertical and horizontal gasket.

    • Adaptors are measured based on the DLO. Depending on the system, you may want to have the horizontal adaptor run passed the vertical, or vice versa. You can add the extra length here to fill the corner.
  • ☑ Vertical adaptor runs continuous - Toggle vertical adaptors running the full height of the verticals, instead of following the DLO.

SSG Adapter Settings

  • ☑ Vertical adaptor at SSG is full width of vertical (1 cut includes both sides) - Toggle whether the SSG vertical is counted on one side of the SSG or both.
